The Group has a diverse range
of consulting experience. We:
- facilitate direction-setting
and decision-making groups,
- conduct needs/outcomes
analyses,
- develop strategy and policy,
- help write proposals/business
cases, and
- develop business plans.
Most of this work involves career development, human resources or leadership
issues, but weve been known to move into other territories as
well (e.g., safe injection sites). Some recent examples follow:
- International Symposium on Mobile Learning – facilitation of a symposium on advances in mobile learning, resulting in a research agenda for mobile learning
- Management Services
for Charities Business Plan - a study comprised of a needs
analysis and business plan for a service that would assist charities
in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories and the Yukon. Commissioned
by the Muttart Foundation (www.muttart.org),
the study involved literature and Internet research, interviews and
focus groups as well as an examination of similar models in the United
States.
- Career Development
Strategy for Buffalo Trail School Division,
a strategy for integrating career development into an entire school
division.
- Strategic Scenarios
for Alberta Federal Council,
involving facilitation of a two-day retreat among senior officials
within the federal public service.
- Change Management for
Public Works and Government Services Canada,
a project that entailed designing and facilitating a two-day change-implementation
session with approximately 80 regional managers.
