J. Barrie Day
Barrie has a long history of career development work. He has been a public school teacher, an assistant superintendent of a school board, Executive Director of Training Services within Alberta Career Development and Employment, and Executive Director of the Centre for Career Development Innovation. In the last few years, Barrie has engaged in group career counselling with over a thousand clients across Canada, written numerous career development guides and manuals, developed innovative intervention strategies and consulted with numerous organizations on the integration of career development within organizational operations. Working with leaders (executives, managers, supervisors) and communities on issues of "people development" have dominated Barrie's interests for years. Barrie's endless energy and passion for career development was recognized with Alberta's Career Development Award of Excellence (1994).
