Dr. Roberta Borgen (Neault) is President of B.C.-based Life Strategies Ltd., and an award-winning career management specialist. She brings over four decades of relevant experience in counselling, coaching, consulting, training, speaking, curriculum design, research, and writing.

Roberta’s strengths lie in her professionalism, infectious enthusiasm for empowering individuals and organizations, and “hands-on” experience working with diverse groups of people. Her pragmatic “can do” attitude ensures that customized solutions are innovative and affordable. Equally comfortable with leadership/executive teams and individuals just entering the workplace, Roberta has lived/worked/travelled through more than 70 countries, supporting people from diverse cultures, educational levels, and employment experiences, across all stages of life. She brings vivid anecdotes, practical examples, and a wealth of resources to her training events, publications, and keynotes/presentations.

Author of numerous articles, chapters, and books, Roberta currently has several publications with Cognella. She has taught in undergraduate, masters, and doctoral programs, as well as continuing education certificate and diploma programs, at 8 Canadian and 3 international colleges and universities, as well as instructing programs for Life Strategies Ltd., the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF), and of course, LRDG. 

Recognized for her leadership, mentorship, contributions to professional development, and service to the career development sector by the BC Career Development Association, Alberta Career Development Association, National Employment Counseling Association and National Career Development Association (US), Asia Pacific Career Development Association, and the Canadian Career Development Foundation, Roberta currently serves on the board of the Asia Pacific Career Development Association and is the Canadian liaison for the International Association of Educational and Vocational Guidance.
